Bio

I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in sociology at Oklahoma State University. I joined the Department of Sociology at Oklahoma State University as a Ph.D. student in Fall 2017. My specialty areas are criminology and deviance and social inequality and stratification. My research interests include social, economic, and political dynamics of firearm legislation, as well as inequality in the criminal justice system. I serve as the Managing Editor for The Sociological Quarterly, the journal of the Midwest Sociological Society. I also currently occupy the graduate student position on the OSU’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) and serve as the Vice President for OSU’s Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD) chapter.
