EDUCATION

BIO
Dhruba moved to Stillwater in 2015. She completed her Masters in 2017 and joined the Ph.D. program. She grew up in a small town of West Bengal, India. She completed her B.A. in Sociology with Honors from Kalyani University. She also has an M.A. in Sociology from University of Pune, Maharashtra, India. Before joining the graduate program of Oklahoma State University, she worked with several non-governmental organizations in India.

Currently she is finishing her second year in the Ph.D. program. Dhruba studies group identity and group relations. During the past few years she has been studying the Hindu nationalist movement in India. She is also interested in studying events of extreme conflict. She mostly apporaches her interest areas from social psychological perspectives.
