Devon Krey received his B.A. in sociology at Ouachita Baptist University in 2014. His interests are in quantitative methodology and statistical analysis. A sub-area of interest is the effects of religion within the medical field. He has studied the relationship between religious affiliation and attitudes towards euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. This research was presented to the Southwestern Social Science Association in 2013. He has also assisted his undergraduate professor in data collection in California in 2013 and was his TA for undergraduate statistics from 2011-2014. Devon has also done independent research for the Handicap Children’s Association (HCA) in New York. The goal of the research was to determine whether individuals held negative feelings towards the word “handicapped.” As a result of his research, HCA is now considering an alternative for their agency’s tagline.
