Dr. Raynes joins the department as a recent graduate of our program. Dr. Raynes attended the graduate program from 2013-2018, and graduated with their Ph.D. in Sociology. They are back to teach Sociology courses to Undergraduates. Their primary research interests involve stratified inequalities and social justice movements. They are particularly interested in spatial analyses of the distribution of social, political, economic, and environmental benefits and harms. Dr. Raynes is currently involved in several projects addressing themes of inequality and dimensions of social and/or environmental justice movements.
