 Bio

Dr. Chelsea Bullard earned her B.A. in Sociology, her M.S. in Forensic Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Sociology all at Oklahoma State University. Her areas of study focus are crime, deviance, and social psychology. Her primary research interest lies in determination of best outcomes for a diversionary therapeutic program called mental health courts. These programs aim to keep people with mental health issues out of jail and in treatment.

Over her life course, Dr. Bullard developed a passion for teaching, law enforcement, and the outdoors. She has been previously employed as a counselor at a therapeutic wilderness survival program, a literacy/GED teacher for a drug and mental health court, and a park ranger. During the past few summers, she alternated between volunteering at a camp for children with diabetes and working as a forensic instructor at a science camp for Jewish youth.

Dr. Bullard now teaches in the OSU Sociology and Forensics departments as an adjunct instructor. She also teaches forensic psychology at UCO. She currently spends her time writing grants, publishing research, and pursuing a career in law enforcement.
