SOCIOLOGY NEWSLETTER | Issue #4 2 Introducing the New Editorial Team of The Sociological Quarterly Department of Sociology faculty Drs. Andrew Fullerton and Michael Long have been named as the new co-editors of The Sociological Quarterly (TSQ). The journal publishes cutting-edge research and theory in all areas of sociological inquiry and is the journal of the Midwest Sociological Society. Dr. Jonathan Coley will also serve as the deputy editor. This honor speaks volumes about the research profiles and interna- tional reputations of Drs. Fullerton, Long, and Coley, and brings distinction to our Sociology program, the College of Arts and Sciences, and to the university. When asked about their new appointment, Dr. Fullerton said, “our editorial team is thrilled to have the opportunity to edit TSQ, and we are looking forward to the challenges ahead as we build on the journal’s strengths and seek to increase its academic and public impact.” Having TSQ at Oklahoma State University will also create new opportunities for our graduate students, including a paid assistantship for the managing editor and opportunities to serve as ad hoc reviewers for the jour- nal. The editorial team will start receiving manuscripts in January 2020.
