BIO
Juan (Jamie) Du is a first year PhD student in the sociology department at Oklahoma State University. She obtained her bachelor of law in Beijing Normal University in 2008, and then earned her master of law in Sociology of Ethnicity from Minzu University of China in 2011. After that, she worked at GFK for three years, mainly focused on the mobile industry research. During her time in Minzu University of China, she attended an interesting research about eco-immigrants in Inner Mongolia, and conducted a research about the living situation of local people who influenced by the environmental protection policy in Shen Nongjia National Natural Reserve in China. Currently, Jamie’s research interests include environmental justice, eco-immigrants, and inequality caused by environmental issues in areas inhabited by the minority groups.
