BIO
I earned a degree in Sociology during my undergraduate studies at OSU. I specialized in crime, deviance, and delinquency. My appreciation for research developed during my junior year during an internship with Mountain Homes Youth Ranch, a wilderness survival program for delinquent teens. After my undergraduate career, I decided to further my education with a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology at OSU-CHS. My master’s program allowed me to research mental health courts through field research, conferences, and a Tulsa COURTS program internship. I also gained law enforcement experience as a park ranger. My master’s thesis looked into effects of mental health courts on jurisdictional crime rate in Oklahoma. I feel like my research is worth looking into on a national scale, so I have now returned to OSU to complete my research while earning a PhD in Sociology. I plan to specialize in social psychology and crime and deviance.
