About the FICS Teaching Sociology The FICS Teaching Sociology is an international journal published electronically in English, with an emphasis on the art and craft of teaching sociology. This section seeks to promote the development and dissemination of sociological imagination. It includes a broad range of topics and issues, from case studies to experimental based work. The teaching of classic studies is emphasized as much as that of new emerging topics and school of thoughts. New fields of sociological studies, such as trauma registries and disasters, will be included in the FICS Teaching Sociology. Contributors should recast, redirect, or refocus their discussion to improve the current teaching of sociology and meet the requirements of today's dynamic society. The editors prefer texts of 10-15 double-spaced pages. An important feature of this electronic section is its rapid communication among sociologists, both nationally and internationally, without physical limitation. All teaching materials will make effective use of the World Wide Web for conveying the latest, most innovative, and most illuminative scholarly research findings. |
