About the FICS Social Commentary The FICS Social Commentary is another international journal published electronically in English, with an emphasis on sociologically based criticism. In today's fast-paced, dynamic, and changing society, the emergence of marginal social phenomena is constantly outside of the "classical" or current mainstream schools of sociological theories and research. Indeed, a number of classical ways of thinking, once thought to represent "reality," are no longer effective in explaining and predicting the emergence of new social problems. The FICS Social Commentary provides a forum in which to comment on crucial ongoing social phenomena, more importantly, to create alternatives and solutions to today's significant social issues. Contributors should use their full names and institutional affiliations when submitting manuscripts. The editors prefer texts of 10-15 double-spaced pages. All contributions need to be sociologically informed and premised. Once accepted, manuscripts will be indexed and abstracted in the usual print journals and bibliographical searching tools, as well as in those specific to electronic media. |
